I value the power of stories, and of sharing those stories with others. I have contributed my voice, writing, and leadership skills to a variety of creative projects. I create my own stories, and I am an active supporter of stories created by marginalized voices.
I acknowledge that I live and work within a region that has significant Black and immigrant communities, and which is located within the ancestral lands of the lands of the Nacotchtank, Pamunkey, Piscataway, Powhatan, Saponi, Seneca, Tauxenent, Tutelo and others. I strive to include the members of those communities in my work and my life.
